Well-Child Appointments

All of our well-child appointments at Eastman Pediatric Clinic are through examinations that follow the latest American Academy of Pediatrics and Bright Futures Guidelines.

Health Check Timeline

Birth to 3 years health check age intervals: Newborn, two weeks, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months, 30 months, and 36 months.
Age 3 to adulthood: Your child needs one well visit/health check annually.

Please Be on Time

Arrive 15 minutes early for your child’s well visit and remember to bring at least one parent/caregiver for each child scheduled to ensure your appointment goes smoothly.

Need a Sports Physical? Get a Health Check

Is your child trying out for sports next year? Schedule a health check today, and we can do a sports physical at no additional cost to you. Sports physicals done in April or May are valid until the end of the next school term.

Call today and schedule a health check appointment. Call before the school's out; your child will need one to practice over the summer. Without a health check, some insurance companies will not pay for a sports physical. Therefore, without a health check, sports physical costs $35 for current patients and $65 for new patients.

We Accept All Major Insurance

Most insurance plans cover health checks with no cost to you as part of your wellness benefit, as long as the patient has not already had one previously and the monitoring period.

*Some plans may charge co-pay or other out-of-pocket expenses. Check in with your health insurance company if you're unsure about your plan's wellness benefits.

Appropriate Specialist Referrals Available

Health checks are very thorough appointments. If our clinicians find problems that need additional attention, we can refer your child to an appropriate pediatric subspecialist for your child's condition.
